Psychomotricity

Psychomotricity is an interdisciplinary field that studies the relationship between psychological processes—especially emotional and cognitive aspects—and the body’s motor processes. It involves the integration of mental and motor functions, observing how body movement, emotional expression, and cognitive development are interconnected.
In a psychomotor session, various assessments are conducted to understand the person’s psychomotor functioning, including aspects such as motor coordination, balance, laterality, body schema, and body awareness, among others.
